Just been told that the show I was working on for the 5th nov isn't happening. Have I really got to go to the local municipal show as a paying guest?
I hope this isn't a sign of the approaching recession.

Regarding the recession, general thought tends to be that private firework sales won't be too badly hit, but yeah- funded events (ie funded by a local council) may well be hit as budgets are cut back on etc.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is.

alas it's not an isolated event, we have experienced a number of cancellations this year due to events not taking place, luckily we have been able to gain work from elsewhere but it is certainly a worrying trend

We are still having one where I live, but they are doing it on the 1st of Nov, as nov 5th this year is on a wednesday! so they choose the saturday before!

I wonder if the local councils lost investment in the icelandic banks has anything to do with it?
