JTF stoke today had sold over £15,000 worth of Men Shun fireworks by lunchtime according to the sales assistant. It was very busy with queues forming for £99.99 firework packs and £20 rocket packs (RRP £49).
Great buys include:
Moonlight Eruption £39.99 (£99.99)
New Year Celebrations: £39.99 (£109.99)
Pulverizer £8.99 (£28.99)
Hawker Rockets £9.99 (£34.99)
Prices +VAT @ JTF
New stock arriving Friday
So prices are- Moonlight Eruption £47, "£99.99" packs are £117.50 etc...
I think, just in the interest of "fair play", it is better to quote the price the customer pays.

When did they take delivery of those?

I've had a look at JTF Stoke for a few weeks, resisting the "urge" to buy , and have'nt seen any of those on sale.
When did they take delivery of those?
JTF give them different names, under the brand name "Guy Fawkes" - so eg Men Shuns "Moonlight Eruption" becomes "Night Rider" etc.

Sorry, they are rebranded "Guy Fawkes" - if I get time I will put a list up of what is what at JTF!

Like i said, i've been curiously looking at them everytime i've visited the warehouse for weeks. I've got my stash from elsewhere but I just cant work them out for love nor money.
Yes they're Men Shun, yes i looked at the Lunar Lights cake - bought it to look at, set it off and thought it was more than decent for the money.
So why are they selling them cheaper than Men Shun? less powder? special deal?
what is the crack with their selection boxes and barrage packs? surely they must be the same?

JTF buy well over £1m worth of Fireworks from Menshun - hence the rather large discount. The "Guy Fawkes" range has also been sold at Makro

Well, they are a wholesaler/trade only- so these are wholesale/trade prices. With VAT, they work out to be around 55% (roughly) less than Men Shuns RRP.
To be honest, a lot of retail shops sell Men Shun at a significant discount from RRP too.
The key, I think, is that the RRPs are rather high when compared to other brands. EG a firework of similar performance might be RRP £15 with Men Shun/Guy Fawkes and only £10 with another brand.

£56.99 RRP
JTF £19.99 (Midnight Mayhem)
http://www.jtf-whole....uk/fireworks4/
JTF price £23.50 . Not £19.99. If you are buying to use privatly, and not claiming back VAT, £19.99 doesn't exist- its phoney. Remember Men Shun's RRPs include VAT. The price you pay is £23.50. Still, thats about 59% less then the the Men Shun version.

Is it EXACTLY the same firework as the men shun equivalent though?
Probably, but maybe not. It is unlikely they would build a different firework with the same shot count, shape etc. But the Guy Fawkes version might be new spec, retailer might be selling the Men Shun version that is old spec (or vice versa), so there is that angle, too.

To be fair JTF do sell a few good menshun items at a fantastic discount but they do tend to sell most of the poorer quality menshun products.
But as i say they do have a few quality items its a matter of picking them out. I dont have a list in front of me but from memory battlecruiser and independence day used to be cheap from JTF which are good.
