Black Peas anyone ?

I was brought up in rochdale where a guy on a motor trike used to go around the streets selling them at night ( HSE would have a field day with a motorbike pushing gallons of boiling water and peas around these days ). Is it just a Lancashire thing ?

Not sure where it's from but they're currentley steaming in the pan, they had some on the go at a Bonfire in Darcy Lever in Bolton on Saturday night aswell.

Eaten from a disposable cup with a spoon and served with salt & vinegar = sounds good to me! ,.......mind you I love me pie mash & liquor so im biased,.....yum yum!
Yeah, anybody got any recipes for bonfire night food?
