i was wondering if people had any problems on displays this year as we had a problem when we were assisting some so called more senior people, they turned the box on and didnt ask if people were clear ok it was only on and not on fire, but one of the cakes did go off near some people that were helping at the time.


other than this and some people playing football on the site where we wanted to set up and being generally awkward everything went fine i guess people here know the type thing you just arrive a few hours before to do a generally electric show

Mostly it just rained in varying degrees of severity! But then it is November.

Where were you firing? Surely if you were doing pyro it was private land/land used with permission, you had every right to tell those people to leave.

The only big problem this year was shortly after setting up for a show the heavens opened and turned the firing site into a swamp, luckily our gear was already waterproofed prior to being set out on site and everything fired OK

we had to wait for them to finish, to be honest the people involved with the football were not nice people

we had problems with the times they didnt tell us until we had taken the water proofing off that they wanted it later, and then some of the things didnt go, mind you they usually say the first big one you do on your own goes well and then the next ones go wrong, but then it didnt help with one of the firers walking off site, because of the footballers, and then being told when he went to see the main man to go back, wasnt good because he was supposed to be the head firer,

so when he went i had to take over the organising until he came back, but we did get soaked the second saturday in a row

apparently they had paid for the pitch, it was done because people used to do it before themselves self fire, but then they wanted a pro display guess this has something to do with health and safety and maybe insurance etc
