Message to newcomers
For those of you that are starting out, and as said by `portfire` and others on this forum, please please read as much as possible from reliable source material (`Ron Lancaster` etc) before attempting to make any compositions/powders.
I know for many newcomers it is frustrating in wanting to get started quickly, but before you make a actual firework, and whilst your reading up on the chemical/powder compositions etc,...... you could attempt to familiarize yourselves with personal safety clothing, non sparking materials, limits/sizes of fireworks, storage and there classifications, or you could attempt to practice/learn or make the following; - How to roll tubes (make casings) of different lengths and thicknesses etc, shape/carve/turn wooden tools for firework making, make launch pads for rockets, make a secure catherine wheel stand etc, make a legally acceptable box to store your fireworks in, etc etc.
Please do not attempt to make or mix any firework powders or compositions in your home!,.........its just to dangerous and stupid to try!,....its much better in a shed or garage well away from your house.
You must think about safety at all times,.......take nothing for granted, and try not to attract attention from your neighbours!
