Keith J is me. I just don't see what harm it is to tell the kids that Barium is used as a green colourant and not copper in commercial fireworks. It is ludicrous.

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the way they've done it, just to help you understand why. I hated it when teachers revealed to you what you had been taught was actually pretty much wrong. Also, I wouldn't be suprised if perhaps they had got it wrong themselves, the woman in the video didn't seem like she actually had a lot of experience with pyrotechnics.

My take on it was positive. Errors, yes. But to show pyrotechnics to school children- in a positive light- is great.
