Today's press has featured items on a new hotel named the Atlantis in Dubai, where tonight they will be holding what is reported to be 'The World's Biggest EVER Firework Display' - it is said to be between 5-7 times larger than the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony display!

Worlds largest display maybe
Worlds most impressive display? No
The most creative? No

I much prefer smaller displays using beautiful effects and choreography.

agreed.........Any company with loads of cash can make/BUY loads of large shells.....it all comes down to money...if i had a £5 million budget for a display.....im sure i could do much better !

I was hoping that the site would be streaming the show so we could see it in high quality video. There is a video of the whole 8 mins or so on YouTube. Must admit, it does appear to just have been 'shell-after-shell', although some of the colours produced by the stars in the mines were nice and rich, and very pleasing to look at.

I would have personally thought they would have sent fireworks from the building itself and not just in a circle or line, very dull. I still hold my hands down that Japanese fireworks are the most beautiful as far as I am concerned and not one display can beat some of their single shells.
