what can i add to a smoke charge i made to give it blue smoke, will copper work .

smokes are neutral grey to white coloured smokes are dyed with colour - cool fire to sublime dye particles. Copper will colour a flame blue but not the smoke. Coloured smokes stain their surroundings. start with clean white smoke add dye.

what do you mean by dyes a sort of chemical or something like food dye cos i heard somewhere that worked

Smoke dyes for pyro use are in a powdered form. Maybe you are confused with dyes for fabrics, which will work, but food dyes are water based, and obviously wont work with pyro...
Whats with the influx of newbs all of a sudden?
Plus, I dont consider smoke 'b**bs' (generators) a special effect, smoke machines maybe, but not the pyro version, so I have moved it to a more suitable area.

And if you can get the chemicals to make a smoke charge then why not try some real pyro

i do try "real pyro" as you call it i am merely trying to increase the range of effects i can manage
