I'm not being nosey, I was just wondering if you worked for/were connected with Lidl?
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Got to say, their Blue Apollo Rockets are superb value for money. Beat the pants off many at triple the price. Fired 20 last GFN and I'm going back to get lots more for NYE!!

Merry Christmas everyone.

It is hard to find footage of these rockets, I'd assume they are blackpowder (well, they almost certainly are). I had some Cosmic blackpowder rockets this year, they were OK, but nothing special.

Didn't see any of those this year but the Gold Medal rockets were poor compared to previous years with very little payload - even at reduced price they are too much. The Cosmos and Rainbow Storm cakes are good value filler though and at the reduced price I would say very good value.

Was just about to come on here this morning and post this, but its already been started :)

I think Ill just get,

1x Black Nebula box
1x Gold Medal Rockets
1x Cosmos cake,

Not to dear, and should be OK, for just a few for new year.

Will still be looking out for other shops selling fireworks though, so it may change. I just wish that Aldi were selling a few for New Year.

Will keep my eye out for any sellers and update you if I can :)

Thanks

Hi guys.

Merry Xmas to you all!

Today I popped to my nearest LIDL and got myself a small selection of treats!

1x Cosmos Cake
1x Gold Medal Rockets
1x Purple Moon Selection Box

Came to £10.57 which is a bit of a bargain really so can't complain. Should be a nice way to see in the new year. Has anyone tried the Cosmos Cake before? Unfortunately the Rainbow Storm Cake had sold out.

I've fired Cosmos before and it is pretty decent for a Supermarket cake and currentley being sold at a knock down price. Lucky you got one, all the cakes had sold out at the 2 Lidl's in Preston. :(

I also have the Gold Medal rockets and Purple Moon Box, hoping the rockets wont be to bad. :)

I'm not sure how other people got on with the Lidl Cakes but if they have changed to Blackpowder they could be poor.

The smallest Lidl box and Gold Medal Rockets were awful, definently ones to avoid.

Gold medal rockets actually work out at a pound each, for that there are some decent-ish rockets available (in packs)- Pandas rockets packs at this price (ie working out about £1 per rocket) used to be decent, there are some still around I'm sure, and Epics rockets are punchy.
