I'm not going to be able to make it, but just to wish you all a great day! I would love to attend, but the distance and kiddy arrangements prohibit.

By the way, will any minutes from the AGM be available afterwards? Of course I am only talking UKPS annoucements and not general pyro presentations here. It would be nice to hear whats happening in UKPS even though I can't attend.

Richard, don't forget mi't-shirt ;)

Have a great day all!

Cheers,

Wayne.

So this is what they look like...

(my son modeling - he's better looking than me!)

The measurements of the sizes we have are as follows:

S 100cm (39 1/2")
M 108cm (42 1/2")
L 112cm (44 1/2")
XL 120cm (47 1/2")

Bear in mind these are actual measurements taken from the garments...

Well thanks for coming guys and girls! - Just need to see if I still have a job on Monday!

Special thanks to all those who helped with the clear-up afterwards, I think we left it tidier than when we arrived...

The committee need to have a mull over all the excellent suggestions and comments made and I'm sure much will come out of this meeting.

Sorry to those who had 'jouneys from hell', but I think the location (over all) did us good, as we saw alot of new faces and had the best turnout yet for any UKPS event - over 30.

Let's keep up the momentum and make lots more things happen!

A smashing day out, some great talks, the best meet yet, great to see so many new faces (even if I did spend over 13 hours in a car).

It has to be said that I have been a member of a few societies in the past and this seems to be the friendliest most helpful bunch of people I have ever met, fantastic!!!!

I spoke to a few people about a certain thing, could you please drop me a quick pm so I can send some info as I am terrible at remembering screen names.

Phew that was close.

A special thanks to everyone who came along, and to our guest speaker Steve with his exploding temples, and finally Phil C, Phil D and Chris for a huge amount of organisation on their part.

Wear your new shirts with pride, and I look forward to seeing what we can do together over the next year!

Hi Peeps,

It was good to meet all those who were able to attend the AGM and I was very pleased with how well my little talk about demolishing a large scale model for a movie was received.

The committee said that they wanted to get more things happening this year and at the pub yesterday evening I mentioned that I usually have an annual BBQ at my place in Newbury, Berkshire (just off the M4/A34 junction), which inevitably involves pyrotechnic/firework activities (usually encouraging water melons to grow in my garden by dispersing their seeds rapidly over the area!).

I suggested holding it this year in mid July to allow the committee to meet up a couple of weeks before the 1st August, to organise the stand for the firework championships (they can have a nose through my kit and see what they want me to bring along) - members who come to my shindig can help me drag out the two (10ft x 20ft) party tents, that are gently rotting behind my shed, and hose them down so the UKPS can use them at the championships.

Having checked my diary, Saturday 18th July looks best for me, so if anyone is interested in coming along send me a PM and I'll let you know my address.

If anyone wants to bring some fireworks, not rockets as I don't like them and no shells over 3" - my garden is big, but not that big (I have plenty of mortar tubes and racks) feel free, if you let me know burn times and effects I might even be able to weave them into a pyromusical display for the end of the evening.

There is a spare bed and a futon should anyone wish to stay over till the Sunday, if these get taken there are also two sofas and enough space for a few more on the floor - bring your own sleeping bags.

Hope to see some of you there.
