can anyone help please?

i have a 1425 1/3hp motor , what size pullies do i need to reduce the speed to 70rpm?

i already have 6" and 3 1/2" pullies, what sort of rpm can i expect from these diameters?

the roller diameter is 1" and the jar is 7" to 7.5" in diameter.

thanks.

With the 3.5 on the motor the mill shaft will be 3.5/6 * 1425 = 831.25 rpm then the jar will be 1/7 * 831.25 = 118.75 rpm. Still a bit too fast I think.

So to get about 60rpm then go for a smaller pulley at 1.75".

There are obviously plenty of other size combinations that will work.

Phew that was close.
