Magnesium powder?

Where do you guys buy your Mg powder?
I've been looking around and the only place i can find is someone that sells it for £20 per 250g

Any idea's?

:o £20 per 250g are u sure its not gold dust :)

i get mine from cooperman435 website

works out about £3 per 100g

Cool! I'll check it out. I thought it was a bit steep! At the worst, i can sand a magnesium block!

take a look a cooperman435 profile in the members section he has a link under stuff for sale. one of the best places for chemicals

I have relied solely on sanding down magnesium and my colored stars (red and green) are always wonderfully bright... it's no low-bar option even if it's "Home made".

Do you have a mechanical set-up for doing that MDH? Or do you simply sand the Mg by hand?

ive seen a homebrew mechanical set up for sanding ali and magnesium lots of pictures and "how to" here metal grinding machine
