Walking to work today and what should I see but a spent "Penny banger"! Odd I thought they went off market when?!? But it was dry and cold so only a few hours old.

The wrapper says;
Garden firework,
Danger do not hold,
See pack.........ions,

then gives a company name and half a postcode.
No mention of BS.....

Are they really very old stock??

Get there before Bill and Hse friends arrive!

Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..

Thats ace! Bangers went off the market in 1997, I think, along with mini rockets and cracker strips.

Not sure how long ago Penny bangers went off the market, though!

Is the company still active? I think all the old british companies that produced bangers now only exists as brand names, owned by other companies (Standard, Benwell, Astra etc.)

I don’t think the individual bangers had the "complies with BS" ect written on them only the wording you described, any chance of a picture?
