Yeah- that might be the case- I think in many ways due to the improvement in new spec items this year, especially in regards to volume.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Even though the majority are now "quieter" .... as long as they still make a sound all of the moaning minnies will still complain that they are too loud Posted Image

This may well be the case. However, with less "nuicence" fireworks around, such as small air bang candles etc nowadays (because of regs and specific bans), and new spec 1.4G (unmeshed) rockets (none of which I have seen that are loud) fingers crossed it won't be as big a problem.

Just a quick update on JTF.

If you have a card to get it maybe worth a visit as they have started to reduce their prices even further. I.E candle packs rrp £12.99 now £2.99 +VAT, £99rrp selection boxes reduced to £29.99+VAT etc

They are Brightstar fireworks and some of them are really good. I guess the selection boxes will be fairly naff as usual!!

I've seen those candles, they are OK, but nothing brilliant- £3.45 for 4 of them is decent enough value, but to honest they are nothing special, thats probably why they are reduced.

Unlikely.

And I'll be free to rant the night away on why this is so after bonfire night.

Your post is misleading as usual.

The fireworks on offer at JTF are made by Brightstar and their is some really good stuff available and very cheap prices. Yes, its 1.4g but the majority of all fireworks of 1.4g only a few companies produce 1.3g and these will be phased out in the next year or two.

The selection boxes JTF have are usual below par fireworks as you would expect in any range even Standard.

Myself, I wouldn't say "very" cheap.

As a point of comparison, take for example their 25 shotters- compare with other 25 shot cakes of similar performance (effects are difference, but overall "rating" would be similar): JTF price is £6.89. Epic's 25 shotters, which are equally good are from £4.99. Royal Party Supreme contains 8 25 shotters and 4 16 shotters, works out at £7.50 a cake. Bulldog's 16/25 shotters are £4.99 (not sure of performance, though- in the past they were good.)

Point is, looking past the "SRP" a lot of JTF's stuff is at a decent price, but fireworks of a similar performance can be bought elsewhere for a similar price. JTF is competativly priced- I wouldn't call it very cheap.
