Like the sound of this! Don't like the sound of more cut backs, the day 1.3G goes is the day I give up, making the most of it while it's still here.

Well, at the moment, there is 1.3G , and generally speaking it's available around the same price as 1.4G.
So all is good.
However, if a day came when 1.3G was only available at much higher prices , or was gone altogether, I'd certainly cut back on my pyro spend.

They might only get 500g cakes in the US, but they also get 3" tubes, and 1.75" reloadable shells! to make up for it and the ability to link fireworks together!
Indeed- and they still have a lot of the smaller items- crackers, spinners, titchy rockets etc.
And stuff like this : 16 000 strip

Whats with the noise reductions all time and weight reductions of compounds.
With regard to consumer fireworks, I think there has only been 1 recent piece of legislation that dealt with noise, the 120 db limit- I think this came in in 2004.
The limits of flashpowder, and "flashpowder like compounds" are based on the (perceieved) hazards.
