This is a fairly (well, very) obvious point, of course, but the selling price (and certainly the RRP) does not necessarily give a reliable indication of how good an item is. In some cases a price increase, even a "steep" one, still would be good value.
However, its the stuff that was poor value to begin with that has suddenly shot up that might produce real stinkers.
I'm not naming the brand directly, but I've noticed one website selling a 48 shotter for £139.99. Oh dear. For the record, it was catalogue RRP of £69.99 four years ago, and in my opinion poor value for money at that price!
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is.
