That's asking me to go to lots of trouble and possible get into big trouble for distributing fireworks without a license.

Seriously it is something Epic need to address. They have fantastic gear and IMO they must lose business as a result of this full case policy. I know for a fact it cause a lot of disappointment to others like myself across the country.

They may be able to split cases, but it would incur a MUCH higher cost i would think. and then there would be little saving for you I would guess. It is very hard to transport 1.3G material if it is not in its original manufacture packaging. Its all down to the EU directive, thank Brussels.

I hear what you say but Fireworks international ship 1.3g and so do firework crazy... but there is no comparison to Epic. Perhaps Epic needs a second base in the centre of the UK - somewhere like Birmingham. There are just no big suppliers in the Birmingham area.

It's barmy that they are unable to ship individual items to me in marked vehicles and packaging when I can collect a van full of the stuff from them and drive down the motorway with no identification of my load at all. So instead of single loads leaving to make country wide deliveries you end up with dozen and dozens of unclassified novices transporting the stuff from one end of the country to the other.... as I say it's barmy. Some pen pusher lacking in the jointed up thinking department.

Oh well It's Bulldog for me and a few cakes n rockets from the local over priced seasonal fireworks shop.

Today I visited Firework Crazy (20minute drive) and found Mark to be a straight talking guy eager to please his customers with a superb range of fireworks. I was offered tea and biscuits!

I also visited my local 'parachuted in' firework store, essentially a container in a lay-by selling Bulldog pyro. The options to bargin were extraordinary and although I have never used Bulldog these transactions must be either fantastic value or daylight robbery but the guy is there every year and sells truck loads of stuff so can't be too shabby!

In my mind the issue with the large retailers(aside from the quality of course) is the rigid pricing policy that prevents any flexibility or negotiation. Give your local independent firework supplier a try and maybe you will strike lucky if you haggle a bit, beware the negotiated bargin or freebies offered on vendors terms only.

If you walk out of a multi national in a huff because the fireworks don't meet your expectation take a moment to watch the tens of thousands of pounds of shopping walking past you. To bastardise a well used phrase "are they bothered"? Walk out of an independent firework shop disgruntled, however and I feel sure they will be mortified and likely to try and make amends.

I have fired shop(garden centre actually) brought pyro alongside 4" shells and a 144 shot poisonous spider cake and it all worked very well.

We are very lucky to have access to some amazing material from the firework fraternity and they continue to work hard on our behalf to improve both quality and range.
