Unless clear proof can be provided, I think its prudent to give the retailer the benefit of the doubt. He might have been opperating entirely within acceptable boundries.

I'm not just being pedantic- I'm totally against Bulls*it pricing. But equally, unless clear proof is available, I'd be cautious against direct "naming and shaming."

I do understand your point. I think, in this instance, unless there is clear proof that this shop was in breech of regualtions, its better to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Its possible he said "reduced from" or similar.. rather than RRP

look plain and simple not to be cross examined.

Men shun darkness invader rrp at the time of this incident £11.99. Garden centre price £11.99 with big fat label claiming that the rrp was £19.99 thus claiming that their fireworks were almost half rrp. This doesnt need dissecting ffs!!! It is plain and simple they stated that all their fireworks were at greatly reduced prices from rrp whilst selling them at rrp with a huge great label on them stating a grossly over stated rrp.
We dont do girly shows.!!!

I DO understand what you are saying.

And you may well be correct.

However, you are making clear and direct accusations against a business, with a direct link saying "Never Buy Fireworks From Here."

Unless you can provide clear proof, then I'd say it's unwise to make such comments.

This year i would suggest you go there yourself and empty your wallet then come back here crying.
I have been fireworking for around 30 years and this place was the biggest offender in all my years of pyro this is why i tell people to steer clear of this place. I am not advertising to the whole world just firework minded people on a forum to which most people will be well clued upto as to which is right or wrong pricewise the length of the country and will make their own conclusions, but the fact of the matter remains, said place sells firework for XXX price claiming it is half retail when CLEARLY IT ISNT.

You can sell an item at whatever price you wish, less than RRP or more than RRP its up to you as the seller.

You cant however make up an RRP greater than that of the manufacturer just so you can claim its cheaper assuming the manufacturer publishes RRPs. If there are no RRPs then its a free for all.

I'm not sure how sensible it is to start writing letters to Lord Monteagle.
