Attention forum members, Can you think of a good slogan / welcome message that would fit under the UKPS logo on the top of the forum?

If you win you get the great feeling of knowing you chose that message ;).

Bringing you the foremost in fireworks and pyrotechnic discussion.
Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.

I know that PyroPDC means that a little tounge-in-cheek, but these sort of slogans would be good- something that supports the notion that the Pyro Society is promoting the interests of private hobbiests.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

While we're on the subject (kindof), any chance we sort out the font, and get rid of the drop-shadow?

I don't want to offend anyone, but to me at least, it looks extremely amateurish and doesn't give the impression of a serious, 'professional' kind of society. A little design consideration goes a long way to establishing a good first impression.

no offence taken mate, the font / colour is the same as what UKPS use on everything so i can change it but then it would look different. (what do you think Richard)

the shadow i can remove with ease what does anyone else think ?

My suggestion would be to change the strap line to something like 'Welcome to the pyrotechnics forum'. We can justifiably claim to be one of the leading boards on the internet today. Consistency of our image to the outside world is important too as Keane points out. Anyone with the time and enthusiasm is welcome to engage us in a re-branding exercise!

Does it have to be a serious slogan?

One of my all time favourites is from the 80's film Highlander:

'Its better to burn out than fade away....'

Cheers
