My suggestion would be to change the strap line to something like 'Welcome to the pyrotechnics forum'. We can justifiably claim to be one of the leading boards on the internet today. Consistency of our image to the outside world is important too as Keane points out. Anyone with the time and enthusiasm is welcome to engage us in a re-branding exercise!

something like this Richard

How about "Fireworks"?
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

How about "Men may be made of iron, but the soul is made of powder and steel?"

Something different can often be a good way of getting people attention.

Or; "Pushing the Boundary`s of British Firework Illumination"

" Light up the sky with the UKPS" (sorry I nicked part this from the Standard tv adverts of the 60s 70s) everyone sing!

"At the Forefront of Pyrotechnology" or "Fireworks"

"Firework Science & Tradition is only part of who or what we are!",

"Choose a job that you love & you will never do a days work in your life!"

How about a dry and ironoic "We put the WORKS in Fireworks"

To add a neat bit of humour, perhaps below put "most of the time..."

I agree it looks good, the only thing I am not sure about is the shadow/3D. If it has to be raised maybe it would be better rendered with a suitable light source so it matched the background left hand light source.
Phew that was close.
