First time for a long time I've seen single tube single shot candles for sale by a supermarket.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

I'd be cautious about committing £25 on new spec rockets- some of them can be very very tame. Pretty, for sure, but 22 of them might stretch the patience of your crowd. If you can find videos of them in action, thats very helpful.

If you can get to Batley, I'd recommend these-

Mega rockets

Brother's Star Fleet Rockets are also very good- each one tells you what it does, too, so you get some good variety.

Where do you live? Is there an all year rounder nearby?

A bit more info on the Neutron Bursts- they have four different styles
NEUTRON BURST GREEN GLITTER AND CRACKLE, NEUTRON BURST LEMON STAR AND WHITE GLITTER, NEUTRON BURST RED STAR AND WHITE GLITTER, NEUTRON BURST WHITE GLITTER AND CRACKLE, with 13.5g of powder (thats the whole rocket, not just the burst,) except the last one mentioned, which is 17.5g of powder.

as such, expect the bursts to be modest. As I say, for your £25 I think you can do better.

Agreed! Epic's Mega and Supreme rockets are some of the best value rockets i've ever fired. They look quite small but pack a wallop, and have some great effects.

Another one that would serve you better (I'd say) is Epic's (Marvel) Heat Seeker- something like three times the NEC per rocket when compared with the supermarket ones you mention.

Thanks for the information on the rockets david, most appreciated.

I liver in Cardiff and as far as i nkow there isnt a all year round near by and this make supermarkets, garden centres and other stores the most viable of option, I do ahve a diy store near which are selling jack flash fireworks (cosmic brand) and there is a pack of 30 rockets for £15 not sure what they are called but they do look like they have a decent burst

I'm not to keen on Epic's Mega Rockets, the biggest ones in the packs I had were really poor, however the 2 smaller sets of rockets in the pack were very very good.

The Supreme Rockets are brilliant, I've got Heat Seeker rockets this year, can't wait to fire them they look good.
