[rocket gary]

i have been haveing problems with all the rockets that i make when i try to put a payload on what iv been trying to do is make rockets that bang at the end of the fuel what i do is i make it the same way i would with any rocket clay at top bottom and drill one end but iv drilled a small hole at the top soo that it can ignite the payload but this just does not seem to work it will maby go 20 ft max and make a poping sound then hit the ground still alight and go bang could some one help me out and tell me where im going wrong iv just been makeing shells and i thought i could get a rocket to go much higher but just is not working im sure im just over looking some thing thanks all Gary

Can you tell if the salute unit is still attached to the rocket after it reaches the height it malfunctions? Also what do the remains look like? Sounds to me like it is either blowing out the top plug, due to it being weakened by the hole and somehow losing thrust, or blowing the choke out the bottom.
