I was always a fan of Weco Fireworks even from the early Esco days especially the rockets and Aldi was the only shop still selling them so i am very dissapointed to see they have changed to T.N.T! What i have seen of the supermarket ranges this year i'm glad i went to a specialist shop today and got some great deals for some excellent fireworks,i won't be buying from supermarkets this year especially the new regs. crap!

I might get 1 of the cheap selection boxes from ASDA though......naff as they are, i just love the tiny little fountains you get in them, don't know why but i find them a lot of fun!

Just baught the Lidl £5 pack to play around with and they have the small fountains in (small round, 4 in a box). Might be a bit cheaper than Asda :)

Thanks for that mate. Even with my discount at asda it still works out cheaper to go to aldi, gives me something quiet to let off in the rubio to the big night

Just had a peek in Netto, grabbed a Space Fight cake. Rather large and heavy this one, 20 shot.

20mm bore size. Ejects stars, produces whistles & crackling red starbursts.

Cant argue?

I had a look in Morrisons over the weekend and have now seen what Asda and Tesco are selling. Morrisons looks to be better than last year (plenty of cakes and selection boxes) but it's whats inside the fireworks that count.

Asda IMO look to be the worst of the lot this year. Also seen an advert for Lidl fireworks in the Sun Newspaper.

Just had a look in passing. The Sonic Blast cake is about 9" square and 16 shots but you can clearly see the amount of window dressing - looks to have about 14 mm bore tubes at best and spaced out by at least an inch between tubes. At £15 each / 2 for £20 wildly overpriced. The 300 shot Super Missiles were £30 each / 2 for £40 - available individually elsewhere (all year round) £14.

I haven't bought anything from ASDA for quite a few years but this is certainly their most underspeced and overpriced year yet. Rated as top of my 'to avoid' list so far.

i just bought 2 of the selection boxes "Pyro & Blast mania" they are full of small fountains with some crappy comet roman candles do avoid these fireworks... In previous years Asda did do a good range but it seems most retail shops have dropped the quality of fireworks that were sold years ago...Very Dissapointed!

B&M Bargains

Yes, they are pretty good, TNT stuff but at a bargain price really.

Powder keg mines, 2 fr £2.
Liberator 11 piece barrage pack £19.99
Gunpowder keg (is this a mine) Looked large...£9.99
96 shot colour pearl flower cake £2.49

+ many more I cant remember

Couldnt argue at those prices?
