1.4G rockets have a maximum of 20g NEC -thats the maximum for the rocket, not the burst. If you want display rockets, look at "pyromeshed" stuff, old spec rockets, or 1.3G.

I have taken all Lidl rockets back....have now purchased 15 Little Brother rockets and a pack of Meteor Storm rockets. £25 the lot from local garden centre. I think these are pretty good for the price.

The 9.99 pack of rockets from Aldi are pretty good with a nice bang and some good varied effects. I also took some apart and each rocket case actually contains a bombette that fits it so isn't window dressed at all.

May as well "unpin" this topic now, as the supermarkets are no longer selling fireworks, and as such it's now out of date.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

They still sell fireworks or do you mean they arnt selling them cause nov 5th is over? if that is the case then I believe this thread should still be pinned to stop smaller topics like it from being created and for a place so that people can post their views on supermarket fireworks.

They sell them until 9th November, I think.

If people want to share their views on what they bought, the topic would be still active, of course- it would simply drop off when no-one replies for a while.

I don't really see much point having a pinned topic at the top of the board that is now irrelevant/out of date- supermarket stock/offers and deals etc will be different next year as well.

For sure, a new topic could be pinned for Supermarkets in October 15th 2010, if Soopermarkets are doing fireworks at all.

Also, of course, I'd like to think that as enthusiasts we can encourage people to use the quality all year round shops - better all round.

Or to put directly- this topic has served it's purpose well, but I think it's done now.

Hi all

I managed to get hold of some pretty good stuff this year well say good stuff some good rockets.

think they was in the region of £20 for 5 but the effects had the wow factor good loud raport with clean break and good spread.

Ground display fireworks were pretty basic and pretty crap to be honest did not give the effect as stated. not wha t ronseal say (does exactly what it says in the tin ) not in this case lol

so i am wondering if it is possible to make my own for next year.

so any help and advice aprreciated

Hello!

In the first instance, have a really good read through the topic on a few of the boards- lots of useful information there.
