So what have you all got planned!

Bonfire Night will probably be fairly "modest" this year, although locally I've sen a couple of bonfires advertised- which is how it should be!

I get the feeling that organised bonfires are going to be popular this year, a lot of people whom I have chatted to have said that they will be going to one, rather than doing their own.

We will be having our own display as we always do, I can't be doing with organized bonfires and the like, takes all the fun away!

Got a big stash of 1.3G to keep the neighbourhood rocking on Thursday night. I can't wait, just hope the weather holds out.

i'll be around the "mother-in-laws" saves my lawn lol, homemade treacle toffee, fire, fireworks (substantially less than last year) good company, beer after the fireworks and then the age old tradition of "putting some spuds in fire" there nothing more tasty than an incinerated spud, thats of coarse if you can find it again

Sounds like a good night Chris, we've got some homemade Treacle Toffee and should be having some other food on, hoping to get a small fire going this year aswell.

I'm expecting less or much weaker fireworks going off round here this year from other houses, it's usually mad round here in silly season. I think it's been fairly quiet so far, shame theres not much to watch.

good point there david, not much to watch yet, in the good old days you could sit by the bedroom window and enjoy free fireworks all night, three days to go and not a mouse fart yet tonight?

I have to agree there has not been too much activity up here in Clackmannanshire (The Wee County). However maybe the tighter restrictions on selling to young yobs is now paying dividends - that can only be a good thing for everybody including us responsible chaps. Maybe an end to the bad press is in sight

But hey I'm gonna wake everybody up on the 7th - lock up your pets

I'm not David but yeah even last year was good round here, I think the night before the 5th I was watching out the window for a good few hours, loads of houses in neighbouring streets letting fireworks off.

Nothing here tonight but I wasn't here on Saturday and was told there was plenty going off.

But hey I'm gonna wake everybody up on the 7th - lock up your pets

have you fired the Royal Party Salute cake before? i got one plus another 25 shotter which i've forgotten the name of for a tenner, just wondered how they prform

I will be firing my large stash on Thursday night,weather permitting,i only do it for my own amusement as i am the only one interested in my family!My displays usually last about two hours and i have a lot of old spec. stuff as i am a great lover of noise so have a lot of bangs and whistles,i also love rockets and have loads of all sizes from whistle bombs to high flyer ball-heads,my displays are well-known round here!Like everywhere else there has been very little activity round my way this year,i'm normally looking out of the window every night but have yet to do so this year yet but i have been to three displays and there is a lot advertised for this weekend so hopefully it will pick up later.

Not looking good with the weather here at all, been raining here the past few days.

Typical, I was really looking forward to it but if it's pouring down we wont be firing anything, will put it off untill Sunday night, really hope it's nice weather on the night.

I've not fired the Salute before, I've seen some of the others fired from the pack.

It's from a 12 pack called Supreme, all cakes, which has a RRP of about £90. For £7.50 each they are very good.
