Hi All,

Yes David, I will be driving there.

Will go up the M1 to J24 then go up the A50 to Stoke, then take the M6 the rest of the way.

If anyone is en route then please let me know.

Thanks to everyone that has replied, it seems I can certainly do better than our local rob dogs. :D

Best advice is to check the UKFR forum, if you haven't done so already- they have a map of where their sponsors are, which is helpful.

There is also a "SP Fireworks" who are in Staffs.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Seems there are no friends in Warrington.

All friendly when I got there, knocked me off £8 from retail price and sold me a load of crap Kimbolton fireworks saying how good they were.

I have honestly seen better fireworks in ASDA, in the buy one get one free £20 range.

To say everyone was disappointed is an understatement, I spent the entire night suitably embarressed by what i had purchased, especially after I had warned them they were cat3 and had a safety distance of 25m.

The majority of them could not even be seen from 25m.

Next year i think I will stick to what i know, seems other people have different ideas on what makes a good firework.

Well, the Kimbolton Platinum box ( damn poor in my opinion )m pack of 7 average rockets ( not too bad ) and a couple of cakes. Not in my opinion £80 worth.

Well, I suppose you just have to shrug and put it down to experience. For £80, you could have had a nice haul, BUT it would have meant quite a lot of driving round (and petrol isn't free, of course.)

Next year- plan in advance- as long as your stash is less than 5KG NEC, you can store it for any length of time.
