This is my entry: (here) (run NewEve.exe), it's more or less a minute long.
I thought it might be of interest in this forum, i also thought i could get some nice feedback on the fireworks (what should i change, or what i did right).
Btw, Happy New Year to all!

I recently entered a small programming competition in which one had to write a simulated firework show in 3 days.

Very nice work Overflow - What did you write it in?

Good work on the sim, I liked it so much I tried to turn into a screen saver on vista by changing the exe file to scr it did work but no sound or loop.
Maybe you could tweak it and make it a UKPS screen saver?

I wrote it in C++ using the allegro library.
I'll see what can be done, shouldn't take long.Good work on the sim, I liked it so much I tried to turn into a screen saver on vista by changing the exe file to scr it did work but no sound or loop.

Basically i've embended the sounds in the executables, made it loop, and abort on keypressed or mouse movement.
