Hi,
I've got a friend with a band and he has asked me if it might be possible to do some small pyro effects at his next gig. The gig will be indoors and so obviously any 'home brewed' devices are completely out of the question. Does anyone know what indoor fireworks (Cat 1) can still be bought by consumers (other than sparklers)? What I really want is a couple of tiny little flash pots to go on both sides of the stage. In the USA you can by these as consumer fireworks but I have a sneaking suspision that they won't be available here; though you can buy those little indoor bangers things with loads of streamers and glitter in them.
Any help?
Tris :-)

You can get stage pyrotechnics. See http://www.lemaitreltd.com/
Or try some firework dealers, a few carry indoor streamer cannons etc.

Please note that unless you are an official, licensed technician, the venue probably will not want to deal with you because of insurance issues. Remember the fuss over the fire in thr US early this year...
