i brought some car filler today and it hardener was dibenzoyl Peroxide. the cautions showed it as a oxidizer, i was wondering if this had any pyro uses?

Well it's a peroxide so it's a bit pokey for fireworks. It's also a bit too dilute to worry about and the peroxide is only the part of the hardener mix that has to be individually declared on the package there is much more in the solution too. Plus buying hardener in sufficient quantity for pyro would be terribly expensive.

Well Benzoyl Peroxide has been used in the US film FX industry for some years for fireball effects in models. A number of people have had bad accidents with it, but not the Dibenzoyl peroxide as far as I am aware.

my thought was as a hardener it might be interesting with a organic fuel and a salt for color. could be a nice hard star.
Arthur do you think its only going to be a few % then, if it was a larger % it might still work? well to my limited chem knowledge.
mortartube, wikipedia and youtube were my first port of call before posting. but i only found info on the dibenzoyl not enzoyl but wiki did state its two benzo rings and a peroxide, so maybe this is just a notation thing?

I don't think it would work like that. As I understand it the hardener catalyzes a reaction in the other components of the resin/putty and causes them to harden so it would only result in a hard star if your star also contained the a decent amount of the putty which is generally non-flammable.my thought was as a hardener it might be interesting with a organic fuel and a salt for color. could be a nice hard star.
It might be interesting for some chemistry stuff, but I don't think it is particularly useful for pyro.

Benzoyl peroxide is the same thing as dibenzoyl peroxide, just an archaic name type of deal.
Given that it is a peroxide, most transition metals will decompose it just so you know. I also wouldn't trust it anywhere near any organic fuels. It breaks apart into radicals to initiate the polymerization. It will also bleach the hell out of your clothes. It's not as bad as some other peroxides, it does take a little bit of heat to get going.
