I had a thread on this ages ago but it seems to have dissapperaed, so apologies moderators if I repeat myself.

I have a video of a show I did last summer which went out on Meridian TV. At last I have got it converted to a fairly low resolution mpeg. I don't think it shows off my work to the best but it would give an idea to anyone who is interested.

The trouble is that even at low resolution it is 16Mb, which I think makes it too large even to e-mail.

I'm not a computer whizz... so what do I do?

You could try zipping the file so you could have a better quality movie and it would be small enough to email depending on how small you compress it.

zipping really wont do much for it. I would say make a cd (if you have a burner) and send it to a member on the forum who has the webspace.

Gor, as well as converting it to low resolution, try to use a strong coder such as DIVX. This should reduce it some more.

I agree with willd, convert it to WMV using the windows media encoder. I've got a copy of windows media encoder 7.1 here. Try using a relatively low bitrate.

P.S. I would be happy to download a 16mb file, and so would anyone else with broadband.

P.P.S I have 350mb of webspace, if your interested...
