Well, thats it. I've just seen The Return of The King and I can safely say that The Lord of The Rings epic was the best I have ever seen. The special effects were breath-taking, the acting superb and the story gripping. What did everyone else think of it? If you haven't seen it I strongly recommend you do; trust me, I'm a pyrotechnics enthusiast!

PS. The fireworks in the first film are pretty damn good too.

He speaks the Truth!
Return of the King was awesome. I liked the trebuchets at Minas Tirith. I must have one of them! What do you reckon the big green thing at the Morgul Tower was? Some kind of evil seurity light that Frodo set off?
Yes, Gandalf is a master pyrotechnist. I suppose he even managed to do all that without using perchlorate, as electrolysis is unlikely to be a common procedure in Middle Earth.
Seriously though, LOTR is probably the best film since The Matrix. Really, you won't be dissapointed by it.

I thought the green thing was that to start of with, but I reckon that it was acctually just a marker to show that the gates of the Morgul Tower were opened. Maybe some kind of scare tactic for Minas Tirith.

Who has read the books? I heard Peter Jackson goes briefly on screen during the film. Did anyone see where Jackson made an appearance?
Where are the matches?

Hmm...Interesting. I'm seeing it again on Sunday, so I'll keep an eye out for him. I've read the books. The first one certainly takes some will power to finish.

I just saw it again. I didn't see him anywhere, although my sister thinks he might have been one of the soldiers at Gondor.
PS, Good one RegimentalPyro!

Then green light my friends is used i think as a becon to signal the march of the army from minas tirith, much as the becons used by gondor the fire ones, Minas Tirith are green and unnatural to create a feel of evil, a force that can be used by creatures of the dark only, supplying a much better becon than the pitiful firestacks used by the men of middle earth, which i have to add, have another one every 150 metres just so they can see them. might aswell of tried to invent mobile phones!
