hi all i was wondering if anyone uses any of the specific pyro softwares that are avaliaoble such as showsim or any others primarily for stock control and show design
currently i just use open office/excel however would like to try using some of the more advanced products
we have a nighthawk system and a p45 system from pyromate as our primary fireing systems so would need to be compatable with these idealy but even just for stock control purposes which at the moment is my main concern as there must be a better way than massive spreadsheets
any thoughts chaps

Take a look at finale, its cheap and exports to Pyromate, we are using it this year to see how it goes, so far, so very good.

had a play with the demo version a while ago and found the timeline very clumsy to use
what do you use for keeping track of stock mixologist?

Its got a lot better now to be honest, still a little fiddly, but not bad for the price.

I use excel, could do with something better I suppose, but I am quite religious in my booking of stock in and out.

have you tried using open office?
i find it even easier to use than excell and for stock lists has a much easier sum functions

think a web based type system could do the job? sql and php can do more or less anything excel can do >.> only saying this as im a php developer .. is there a demand for something like that? if so what exactly would you guys want it to do :P

i'm still interested :) I have some ideas about a system (and ive even set up a 'workbench' website to put something together) - so input would be much appreciated!
