Whilst setting up a show in Lancashire on Saturday night someone in a nearby garden set off a very nice cake - red and green crossettes (good ones -really even 4 way split) with a little burst of little strobe stars in the middle - the red strobe were particularly good with a very deep colour. I guess it was between 12 and 16 shots, anyone got any ideas who the brand might be please?
Nice effect

I saw all sorts of Red and Green burst cakes going off over the bonfire night period and because they all looked similar I assumed they were Bulldog or Supermarket.

Could these not just be tailed bombettes with 4 comets at the top and small strobes under creating a fake crossette look?

You can make crossette type effects with a BB unit containing 4 large stars (and some additional smaller stars if you want), but the stars have to be placed very carefully in the unit to give a symmetrical even break, possibly more trouble than making a traditional crossette star??. The ones I say were VERY even - 4 stars in a flat plane perfectly at 90 degrees, I'd love to get hold of one to see the method of manufacture.
