Hi guys, I'm trying to decide on a electric remote detonation system- I have been using e-matches for a while detonated by battery contact but want to move to the next level.

I need really to be able to detonate 10-15 charges spread over a medium sized area (battlefield simulations). Budget is fairly tight- up to £100. Any reccomendations?

At that price, you are probably looking at a home made system - as long as you are handy with a soldering iron, something good & safe can be put together.

You may just be in the price range for some of the smaller wireless systems from the Far East, but I leave those who have tried them to comment on this.

I've got 30 of the individual units in the second link. I am very happy with them for what they are. I would have thought they would be perfect for your intended use spread out over a field. The worst bit would probably be finding them again!

Range is easily at least 100M, they fire ematches or talons.

If you are handy the emadeinchn boards seem good value for the DIY route.

I would strongly advise using a system that has encryption e.g. Keeloq - otherwise someone unlocking their car could fire all your pyro as happened to a notable forum member very recently!!!

How did that happen trev? What firing system was used to warn others of the potential problem.

Exactly what we want to avoid- does the system I found have this (guessing not)- any idea which systems do?

It was actually a sample firing system I was sent by my supplier in china for testing and comments lol

I have now started selling single cue receiver remote systems and they asked if I was interested in the new type too which for now Ive said no to!

Happy to report the single cue ones for sale are clear of any such problems and have actually performed FAR better than expected :-)

The spec for the 12 cue system claims to easily ignite one E match. I was wondering if it would work with more than one (per cue) and also how much cable length effects reliability.
I was thinking two E matches both on 10m wires.

Also question to easy pyro would this have any effect on the warranty ?

My system will do that easy - 20 cue version - same battery.

Easypyro question:

Some of my kingdom systems came from other sources - will these still be CE approved as they are the same model numbers?

According to the Easy pyro spec the 20 cue version has a 24v output whereas the 12 cue uses 4xAA so presumably 6v output ?

The single cue receivers I have are CE marked Ive just checked :-)

I have a 12 cue with a 12V lead acid in and a 20 cue with the same in. Both re-chargeable...

The first 12 cue i had did indeed have aa batteries perhaps newer ones are 12V LA.

I think we maybe talking about different systems, I'm interested in the 12 cue distributed system.
