Ammonium sulphate is supposed to produce an endothermic reaction when mixed with a solvent this was so unpure it did not do this i was only using it as an example sorry for confusing you.

I personaly have been sold 'dodgy' kno3 and it didnt work yet before i tried it in BP i tried it in an endothermic reaction ,no sucess, so i should have stoped there but i went on to try it with BP but you might test some of it like that Stuart.
