To cut a long story short, although the venue will be providing tea and coffee etc & bar snacks before the display, we will be organising a 'proper sit down' afterwards somewhere local.

Phill Cooper is the man with the local knowledge & he will let us know the name and location soonest.

Could we cut and paste a list of those who would want to partake?

For a start:

Phil D + 1 def, possibly plus 2
Candle + 1
Teaching moft plainly, and withall moft exactly, the composing of all manner of fire-works for tryumph and recreation (John Bate 1635)

Phil has suggested the Aagrah A La Carte Restaurant at Shipley, which is only a mile away and looks very nice.
Please let us have numbers soonest please, so we can make a booking...

I should add that we will likely also have chilie and/or curry available at the venue between 7:00 and 9:00. This will just be basic hot food for our crowd of hungry pyros, but enough to keep us going.

Did this meal ever actually happen?

No it didn’t happen, it was so late after the clear up we missed our booking!
Next time we could do with an all day hog roast, there were a lot of hungry people at the end of the day, who were thinking there was going to be an evening meal.

there were a lot of hungry people at the end of the day, who were thinking there was going to be an evening meal.

Phill C and I did run around the site trying to encourage people to have the hot food provided by the venue. The display was later this time, partly due to the constraints imposed on us but also due to the date and British Summer Time. Last year we were clear of the site by 9pm so a sit down meal was more practical.

Needless to say, we'll look at this again before next year.
