Hi all.
This looks like a good place to start. I've been a stage technician since I was 19 and have just started working on stage after a five year break. Over the years I've gained some experience of setting up and firing pyros on stage and have always thought that it would be an interesting progression from the set, sound and lighting that I'm used to.
I'm interested in all areas of pyrotechnics, not just stage. I started looking into a career move into the display area about five years ago but for one reason or another it was the wrong time so now I'm in a better position to start looking I've arrived here. With my background in theatre I am hard working, aware of deadlines as well as health and safety and am used to following cues and live performance.
Any contacts would be good, as well as advice and above all, offers of work. I'm based in Buckinghamshire and can travel if I need to, which I expect I will from what I've read. I realize that one week before bonfire night is probably not the best timing either.
Anyway, looking forward to any advice, information and hopefully opportunities.
Cheers all.
Hoping to get my foot jammed in the door.

Hello Woodland and welcome to the forum.
Firstly you might like to fill out your `about me` page in your profile, secondly why not join the UKPS proper? = once a year we have our AGM (free), this will give you a chance to make friends & meet contacts, and to perhaps get involved in some of the societies interesting projects.
