I could have sworn there was a thread somewhere for posting videos. It could be because it's the middle of the night for me here in the US, but I can't seem to find it. I'm pretty excited about most of these, I couldn't help but sharing. They were all competition entries of mine. I made them all links. The forum was telling me that I exceeded my media content per post. Sorry for making you go elsewhere. I can edit if it makes a difference.

Good 5" 9 timed spider

Lesser 5" 9 timed spider

6" Triple Break

4" drawout (the other one failed horribly)

6" double petal ball shells

1.5" gold glitter comets

Your favorite is my favorite too. I just love those those shells. I need to get them breaking a little earlier or lifting higher and would like a little harder breaks on the inserts. The formula is from Mike Swisher. I like the lampblack and like not having to mill it.

http://groups.google...f7c2c174d14ed3a

" If you are getting a spherical cloud with your cut stars, you are
either cutting
them too small or using an inappropriate composition.

Try -

Saltpetre 18 lbs.
A.F. charcoal 9 lbs.
Sulphur 3-1/2 lbs.
Lampblack 4 oz.
Dextrine 2 lbs.

Do NOT mill. Sieve your saltpetre, sulphur, and dextrine through 40-
mesh. Add
the lampblack and mix by hand. Weigh out the charcoal and sieve the
other mixed
ingredients through 40-mesh onto the charcoal. Then hand-mix, sive 3X
through
20-mesh.

You will need a lot of water to cut this mix. Cut 3/4" stars for 4"
shells "

A very nice spider web formulae by Mike Swisher.

The lamp black is the key to the excellence of this star and to those of you that don't mix in Swisher lbs/oz quantities.

Potassium Nitrate 72
Charcoal Airfloat 36
Sulphur 14
Lampblack 1
Dextrin 8
Water 36

Don't ask me why, but by my notes I have the Charcoal as Spruce 40# to air float but being predominately made up of air float if that makes sense,
I think I was tweaking the formula at the time.
Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.

This the formula in approximate percentages if you don't like ounces and pounds. It adds to 100.1, but that's the way the rounding goes.

KNO3 - 55%
C - 27.5%
S - 10.7%
Dex - 06.1%
LB - 0.8
