Hello all,

I may be a bit late joining in the discussion here, but I've just recently heard about your AGM and I'd love to come down.

1) It'd be great to meet some more pyro pros's / enthusiasts ... I spend way too long stuck inside talking to people on the phone about firing systems and never meeting them.
2) I could bring down some firing systems and consumables for you guys to have a play with.
3) I could donate something "special" to the raffle.

However it's quite a long treck from Edinburgh, can someone give me a rough idea of the numbers involved. Am I coming down to 8 or 80 people?

On a side note, I just got back from Das Pyro Forum in Germany. I was sorry to see I was the only UK person there. I took a few seconds out between promoting the new STEP13 Sequencer to take a few snaps ... it's like firing system porn.

Well, after a long hiatus from the forum I am pleased to be able to say that I shall be attending this years's AGM. I look forward to seeing some familiar and also some new faces. I think it will make for a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable event. See you all there.

Not sure I'll be able to make this but I'd love to - I'm flying back into the UK the day before and will probably not have a car for the Saturday...

Hi All

It looks like the raffle will be going ahead.
We have had a few offers of prizes ( thanks you know who you are) but we could certainly do with a few more donations to make it attractive to all that i hope will be attending.

I'm thinking to go with allowing live cat 1,2,3 and if their are any objections on the day, deal with them as necessary. I also think relatively inert chemicals and stuff like rice hulls and clay should be ok. However I don't think oxidisers, metal powder fuels or anything dangerously poisonous would be a good idea.

Please bear in mind that their will (i hope) be a fair few 'non pyros' attending, from whom i hope to try and 'weadle' some ticket sales, so anything interesting that is not necessary related to pyro would also be very welcome. No gimp masks!! (you know who you are)

I fully intend to post a thank you list after the event, but i (for one) have no objections to blatant business plugging promotions being attached to prizes.

You can PM me with offers, but i see no reason not to post offers here as this will not only give people an idea of what's up for grabs, but might prevent too much in the way of duplicates.

I hope everyone is happy with my idea of how i intend to go about this, if not i'm perfectly happy to listen to any suggestions, especially from anyone who has actually organised a raffle before, as i certainly haven't.

I fondly remember the 3 used at the beginning of your finale at the Big Bang (I believe they were 8"), in fact I have that picture as wallpaper on my laptop

Good news on the raffle, I'll have a look at what Cat 3 bits I have spare and send you the details. If there are any issues on the day they can always just be set off as part of the evening display!
So long as you have a couple of obviously different coloured books of raffle tickets I don't think you can get much wrong with a raffle!
