How much are you paying bluetac?

If i recall it was around £0.55 per meter last year from Wireless Fireworks, although this was a year ago and i dont have the receipt so i might be a bit off.

I dont think it's fair that you quote these prices without openly showing people where to buy fuse at these prices, 10p p/m, as this is the norm?
It's also not fair for you to attack my prices when you dont openly sell fuse yourself, it's not right to compare 'under the table' prices to high street prices, your fuse prices are only available to people you choose to invite in to your little club, not the general public.

You can buy fuse at those prices from any fireworks retailer that is willing to sell it to a member of the public. Granted this is not as easy as buying something online with no age verification or company to guage whether you're competent but we're not talking about an insignificant price difference here. I don't see how anyone can try to argue that charging >£100 for 100m of fuse is anything other than ridiculous.

As long as there is no simple way to prove your bona-fide to a retailer there will always be a premium on easy to buy fuse.

It seems that you have to be 'in the club' to buy fuse from a firework company, and it's not an easy club to join...

I've mentioned before that I would like to see UKPS membership as at least a nod in the right direction of proving good intent. Any retailers out there willing to get involved, please message me.

As to any individual providing a service it's caveat emptor (more Latin!) and if you don't like the price you dont have to buy it.

It's been the same argument all the way through this thread how you can buy fuse so cheaply from firework retailers without showing a storage certificate or insurance, it is starting to wear a little thin, I might be wrong but I doubt any wholesaler would be interested unless you befriend them first.
The customers I deal with don't want this bother and may only use a few meters a year, i don't feel bad in the slightest taking a fiver off them, my seasoned customers generally ask for a better price and I'm more than happy to oblige.

Can you provide details of the retailers that will sell fuse to the public without a storage certificate and insurance, anywhere in the UK?

Buy fuse from a retailer who sells it. Simple as that. Im not aware who does and who doesnt as I dont need to find it but as its not restricted legally I suggest anyone not wanting to spend a premium price for it (as I do actually agree with Oliver that small quantities will cost more due to the time taken to simply take orders and dispatch them) contacts a company with it and argues their case.

The issue here is that yes if someone wants something and there prepared to pay for it then sell it at the best price you can get, if they dont like it then its their choice to buy it or not. As fuse is not legally resticted from sale I dont see why anyone would pay over the odds for it but if someone wants the easy option because they want just a few m then so be it. I personally purchased full rolls of visco WELL BEFORE I had storage but I admit that retiler no longer offers it. Search and ye shall find (Ye Olde english there for you Phil D lol)

I wasnt having a go at you in any way Oliver, do you own wireless fireworks? If you do then my comment of the silly prices there stands but I aplogise as it was not aimed intentionally at you on a personal level. If not then stop assuming Im havign a dig at you. Sell what you want at whatever price you want BUT as this thread was started by other people than myself and my opinions seem to be carried by many of the other posters please consider that Im not the only one making these exact comments.

If you want to stop people having a dig lower your prices. If your not bothered than stop biting.

For the record Im happy to supply fuse to any of our members Phill D unless anyone can suggest a reason not to?

I object your honor, if cooperman sells his fuse openly then when I need some it will be odds on he has sold out and for thats reason no cooperdude you can not! and you lot can piss off and get your own ( if " piss" is a not allowed word please censor)

I wouldn't say I've 'befriended' any companies, more like briefly introduced myself and demonstrated some knowledge/competence. The public are free to buy from whomever they want, but I think they should be aware that they don't have to pay a premium, and I agree those who only use a few meters a year are not going to go through the hassle of buying bulk.

Yes this is starting to wear thin, but I'd like to remind you that this thread was not aimed at you. You assumed it was because you know your prices are over-inflated!

Then why am I being acused of attacking his prices? I commented on the 55p/m comment as quoted as a price from them?

I dont sell petrol but Im happy to say the price of it stinks!
