I cant share a firework "stash" photo so I thought I would share my HT3 and 4 pyro "stash"

Its very strange, and I am sure a psychiatrist would have a field day with this - but - when I am alone in either my pyro or HE store - I do feel very content.
Having worked with explosives for all of my life there is something very humbling and calming about being in amongst such powerful energetic items.
OK - this is getting weird but I am sure that some of you will know where I am coming from.

The other week as we finished loading our HT3 store with new stock, I found myself having a "moment" admiring the neatly arranged corridor of UN cartons. There is something almost therapeutic about it and I can't put it into words. I'm convinced there is no place more peaceful than the interior of one's explosives storage. I can only put it down to spending hours and hours as a child staring at the glass cabinets full of Standard Fireworks (before the tide of Chinese product arrived!) at my local garden centre. Anyone know a number of a decent shrink?

I am 100% with you guys. Nothing more relaxing than standing in your own stores admiting the stock you finally own :-)

Were a weird breed but we know it and were proud lol

I know exactly where you guys are coming from, It's a tad bit like holding the rains to a powerfull car, you dont need to use the power but the feeling of having it is something else. I believe it is the same with farmers and there guns!

Do you guys not get that butterfly in your stomach when you think of what could potentially happen while in there? Being a worrier I get really nervous being around large quantaties of pyro!

Not quite the same thing but I would spend hours laying all my fireworks out in categories. This was back in the days when you could spend hours choosing each and every firework you wanted (and I did spend hours!). I'd have fountains in one section, candles in another...then the huge stash of rockets and even shells when we were allowed to buy them. I will never forget buying my first box of 3 inch chinese shells. I'm sure my parents thought I was slightly odd.

Now everything comes in a pre-packed box, how dull.

There is no hope for me then,fast bikes,cabinet of guns and very happy in my store,maybe i need two shrinks

I am either " Sane " or a mard arse...... Got a fast car but never go fast and poo myself when around anything that can go boom! which unfortunatly is very regular when your doing display. Its a sticking joke that I own my display company yet put my fingers in my ears when watching a show!!

Well having read some of the posts above I now know that sitting in a store full of pyro or anything else energetic and enjoying the moment is not a unique experience for me..phew! Things that go "bang" are to be respected at all times but ultimately ladies and gentlemen it is us who control those things - if we do not have, or have lost control then on our heads be it!

Maybe it's the realisation (subconscious or otherwise) that we are dealing with something very powerful and hence have to be very steady that brings about the feeling of peace. I sometimes get the same feeling when rock climbing
