Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to post, couldn't find a better one.

I'm in the pro pyro businiess, and I have a importer where I live.
We buy most of our stuff from him.
But we have different approaches on firing: They handfire, we e-fire.

So: Any good places to shop for e-matches?

I'm looking for say a 1000 pcs og 6 m/18 ft wire on these.

May it be in the UK or a place who export these at a cost less than 1 GBP a piece.

When you say 1 GBP do you mean £1.00 or £0.01? Either way you are miles off, for 3m ematches i pay about 35 pence. Most cat 4 suppliers should supply these so i would fire of a few emails for some prices.

Aquarius is in Scandinavia so the usual suppliers here may not be able to dispatch to him.. ADR (etc. ) carriage on a small 1.4s package may be silly expensive.

Possibly importing these igniters directly from the maker in China or America or Europe would be better. Can you get your firework supplier to put your case of igs into his container before it leaves China (or other country)

In the UK firework professionals tend to buy shorter igs and use spare copper wire to extend a few igs. Yes with the global price rise in copper 6m igs will cost a lot, and you will throw away the copper afterwards. Many companies will stock 2m and 5m igs in the UK but at least one company uses 300mm igs and extends every lead -reusing lots of copper saving money but using more time.

Sorry Aquarius i did not realise you were in scandinavia, I would think that it would be more cost effective as Arthur says to source them from your own country,i am not sure of the exchange rate between your currency and ours but if you ended paying £1 per ig i think i would handfire too.

I have put him on to a supplier in china that sells without having to buy a full container!
