Hi everyone,
It's been an age since I last posted, so I thought I'd give an overview:
1. Now in GCSE's, so little time for pyro, due to shooting team commitments, revision, course work, and all the rest of it.
2. Site's revamp getting done SLOWLY
3. Finished with fountains. This years projects willbe bigger ball mill, and rockets.
4. did that KCLO4 ever come to light?
5. This year I think I will be attempting some basic synthesis- any tips anyone?
Great to be back

4. The perc isn't going anywhere
5. I'd go for a basic double decomposition. Using solubility differences you can swap ions on Sodium chlorate and potassium chloride, for example. Recrystalisation is good to practice to get good purity.

HOT TIP: Use a centrifuge to remove all the liquid (containing dissolved impurities) from the crystals.
