Are these definitely genuine Plasticos Gamon cases? Just wondering if cheaper replica plastic might be the cause?

what glue are you using to glue the time fuse in, some glues can weeken the plastic.
Are you useing the pl10 time fuse for them or standerd chinese time fuse ?

humm strange how the 4" seems fine but if its the same cases iv used that has a large hole for pl10 fuse then chineese time fuse is 1/2 that size so there would be quite a gap to fill with glue. i would reccomed contacting cooper435 for some spanish pl10. it fits the gamon shells perfect and just need a small amount of hot glue.
if you need to fill quite a big gap id use hot glue and twine to re-enforce the gap.
good luck

One tiny crack the size of half a hair will cause liftcharge flames to pass through instanty.

Yeah and also superglue is able to damage plastic too makign it more brittle.
I advise the use of hot glue if having to use 6mm time fuse in the 10mm hole (without the adapter) and plumbing weld cement for the rest of the joins, the lift cup requires the TINYEST bit of glue just dotting onto it to stop it coming off but to allow it to break from the shell easilly on lifting.

Add two or tree small plastic shell parts to the thinner.
Close the jar with the lid, and keep it closed for 12 hours.
Next day, shake the jar well and you have the best glue to use.
This glue is the same material as the casings ans will "weld" the parts together.

HI All
A little late,but...
If there is anything I can help on this topic , I will be happy.
In general
- Solvents work perfect instead of glues. Making a mixture of plastic pìeces and solvent is the best, Works as a glue and also helps to close any possible air channel.
- Hot glue better than super glue if there is no other option.
- Sometimes temperature and plastic do not work very well, and specially big changes (think about how hot it gets when functioning and how cold can be the weather!
- Pictures are the best way to find out what happened.
-Also, contact the manufacturer! plasticos@gamon.es
Thanks in advance

I even have to drill the spolette hole a bit with a 10mm metal drill, otherwise it wont fit.
Then still the timefuse needs a true hard push to get in the spolette hole, to be true tight.
But, then I thought the other day that this would fit tight enough and there would be no tiny seem left.
Wrong guess... Almost all canisters had a BIP, so use extra glue or rope and glue around the timefuse.
The combination of pressure and heat from the lift, together with outside influenses, is a true danger.
And thank you Toni for helping us out in this topic. If anybody knows Gamon casings it's you. :-)

I assume that you are using the Gamon plastic conical or flat bottomed lift cup for that size of shell case. If so, why do you glue it on? When I worked at Wells, the lift cup was simply held on with a couple of turns of electricians insulating tape. They never came off. You must make sure that you keep the tape taught when you are taping the lift cup on, then release the tension for the last inch or two. This stops the tape end peeling away from the shell case.
