Hi All,

 

Does anybody know what fuse is used to connect the tubes in a cat 4 'Z' firing slice ?

 

I'm referring to stuff such as the big 19 shot slices we use on pro shows, where there's a split second delay between each shot as it goes right to left or vice-versa.

 

It cant be QM as that would turn it into a 'Fan' as they would all fire at one.

 

Quick Visco perhaps ?

I think that QM builds to speed and that the speed is dependant on the diameter of the tube compared with the diameter of the coated strings (BM)

 

However the Chinese have been doing firework fusing longer than I have.

I've often wondered about split second timings, and i would have done some testing if my neighbour wasn't such a DICK just lately*, but i wondered about tight binding QM different lengths for different delays.

No doubt it's been done before, but hey, everyday someone re-invents the wheel.

 

*Neighbour is a paranoid skitso sponger that has put cameras all around his house, and I'm not sure if they view my property. So I have to test else where now.

Well I'm guessing it's a 1/4" card tube with a strand of BM and lots of BM cross matching.

 

But there should be some available in a month for autopsy and reverse engineering.

 

If CCTV intrudes into your property you can have a claim for privacy.

That's what I thought.

 

I'll have to experiment, if I get time. Not made anything myself this year, but it's been a pyro filled year !
