I have put this up as I feel it would be interesting to see what the spread is like with regards to this.

If any of the committee feel this is encroaching or unnecessary then please feel free to remove however I have kept the total private.

maybe add a few options for people waiting to see what happens, or who are not in a position to apply yet.

Phew that was close.

Would it perhaps be useful to collate the experiences of those who have had A&K granted for experimental pyro (and maybe those who have been turned down) and look at the responses by geographical area, storage facility and experience of licencee, in order to see what does and what doesn't work?

It might also be interesting to see what has been granted on the Acquire and Keep and Acquire Only certificates? i.e. just Black Powder, Black Powder and Flash Powder, etc...

Told to withdraw my Acquire and Keep application (as it would be refused).
Type: Acquire and Keep for Black Powder, Flash Powder and Pyrotechnic Compositions.
Geographical location: London.
Storage facilities available: Black Powder storage box, as per regulations, locked away inside my home.
Experience of licencee: Five years of hobby pyrotechnics producing a number of articles including flares, fountains, wheels, rockets and shells up to 3 inches diameter. However with no professional pyrotechnics experience. I have studied a lot of chemistry and have a neuroscience degree.

Is there any more people who can add there experiences to this thread? According to the poll there are 5 people granted certificates specifically for experimental pyro. Would it be possible for these people to give some insight to their background especially "competence" and what proof of such they included in their applications?

Thanks

Rod
