The plan is to have a few A&K holders at the event that can 'supervise' those that don't have A&K yet. The main falling point for A&K applications seems to be lack of provable experience this event will hopefully go some way to address that issue.

Maybe we could get a few A&K application forms that people could fill out at the event. Exact 808 is hoping to attend, he might be willing to give some advice to those applying.

No details to confirm as yet but i'm sure Phil will let us know when and where nearer the time.

If it is going ahead 2 or 3 of us will come along as previously discussed in PMs.

I would be up for this. I've been out of the loop for a while and I am keen to make more time for my hobby again.

Well I'm afraid it's not looking good attendance wise so far. If we don't get enough people wanting to attend, this event will quite simply not go ahead.

I think this is a great idea, though I fear it might be a bit far away for me this time. Is there any idea of what kind of opportunities would be available for those without A&K, i.e. certain projects or freestyle? BP available for supervised use?

Devon and Cornwall can have an event of their own IF you can find enough members interested who reside locally, BUT with you having water on three sides If we hold an event past the Tamar it will be a long way for most attendees.

Thanks, it's certainly one of the downsides living so much on the periphery as it were - I'm used to having to travel for most things I guess.  I haven't completely given up the idea of attending. It's around a 6 hour drive, so I'll ponder on it over the next week and let you know if that's ok.  I have an A + K for BP and an AO for UN MAN2, I think this is an excellent idea and want to be as supportive as I can.

We are still intending to have a presence there. Hopefully assisting the UKPS staff with mentoring etc. Also 1 to 1 chats re certification, manufacture, competence, the meaning of life etc etc......
