Some of you may remember having our 2014 AGM here, it is currently in danger of being sold off to a commercial enterprise which will all but completely close it to the public.

There is a petition to try and stop this.

its absolutely despicable  . we have just lost snibston discovery park and museum to a scumbag developer --put tree preservation orders on every large tree on site search for unusual flora and forna to justify sssi site and ensure every building  is  listed .  this  destruction of our heritage is called progress by the profit seeking developers .

The site has lots of listed buildings (nearly all of them in fact), even the pool they used to test RDX that they developed for Barns Wallace is listed. They have lots of interesting fauna and flora including a 'heronry' badgers, deer, owls the lot. SSSI status and place of special historic interest listing. All this seems to mean very little when big money is involved !!!

Freud. Artists, in this view, are people who may avoid neurosis and perversion by sublimating their impulses in their work.

Public forum meeting was tonight, it was at best somewhat fascicle but the petition (700 signatures at the time) was handed to the Chair.

This fight is going to be ongoing for some time so we still need people to sign the petition as we will have more opportunity's to submit it.

We are working on a counter proposal, so if anyone has any suggestions or knows of any organizations/society's/companies that might be interested in using the site please let me know.
