For anybody who may not have received it, the email for notification of the 2017 agm was sent out at the weekend and mailed to those that we don't have emails for.
If we could try and create a census of those intending to come it would help us greatly. The email was as follows:
-------------------------------
I am writing to you on behalf of the UK Pyrotechnic Society management committee to inform you that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2017 will be held at:
Broughton Playing Fields & Village Hall,
Gate Lane,
Broughton,
Kettering,
NN14 1ND
On Saturday 6th May 2017 from 2pm
A formal agenda is still to be confirmed, we encourage everyone to attend and would welcome suggestions of topics for discussion. These can be made by letter or preferably email or through the forum to save time. We ask that these are received by the 22nd April to allow us time to assess and accommodate as many as possible.
The day will start with our formal declarations, chairman’s report, acceptance of financial report, talks (to be confirmed) and discussions of topics raised by the members. It will end with our firework display and as we have the venue until midnight it is our intension to use this time to enable everyone to have informal chat at leisure as we normally do, simply at the venue itself.
The AGM is free to attend for members and non-members, snacks and tea/coffee will be supplied during the day, with the intention of ordering food in later in the day.
Although this is not an election year we would welcome volunteers to help with the running of the society. Help in any capacity would be welcome, particularly the posts of Treasurer and Membership Secretary as the current holders of these posts would like to step down if suitable replacements can be found. We ask any person considering involvement to contact a current staff member, either through the forum or by email.
We ask that members bring their membership cards to use as identification on the day.
If you have any question about this letter or if we can help in any other way, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely
Philip Cooper
