Really struggling to find a supplier of silicon metal powder for fencepost prime. Any ideas?

I used to have loads but it's slowly disappeared, I'll ask about getting more to mill down if you like but can't promise as I'm not sure if it was a one off batch at the time.

Don't know if they'll export to the UK but they do have it and quote prices for relatively small amounts.

Anyway Tinderbox if you need a kilo or two pm me, you will have to mill it yourself to the required powder (very very easy).

silicon is not a metal 

It's neither a metal nor a nonmetal. It's a metalloid. I knew this but some suppliers list it under "metal powders".

That's really helpful digger. I contacted pyropowders.de and they will ship me anything from 100g of fine silicon powder but if it ends up being expensive or I encounter problems I'll deffo buzz you for some of yours. Cheers.
